Shadow is a senior Pit Bull type mix. Shadow is deaf and has vision impairment. Shadow also has arthritis to her hips. This handsome stud loves his snacks and going on walks. He also likes to nap with his best friend.   

Rodney is a senior Pit Bull type mix. Rodney has arthritis, but can still get around okay. He loves hanging with his pug brothers.

Duke is a senior Shih Tzu who was saved from a kill list in Kansas. Duke has vision and hearing impairment. He also has heart disease. Duke loves spending time with his family.

Kena is a senior American Bulldog. She has chronic mastitis and suffers from severe allergies to certain types of food. Kena's favorite part of her day is playing with her Pit Bull sister. Kena also loves children, going on walks, and snuggles at bedtime.  

Oscar is a senior Shih Tzu and is the oldest pet in the project. He is deaf and was blind. Due to serious eye problems, they were both removed. Oscar also had exposed bone in his mouth, so dental surgery was necessary. Oscar likes to keep to himself, loves being outside, and enjoys having his own room.

At 12 years old, Blaine went from living with his 90 year old owner in Chicago, to a shelter over night. He had a slim chance of getting out due to his age, terrible skin issues, and several masses throughout his body. A few months later, Blaine began living his best life. He is in a comfort home with 4 other dogs, 2 kids, and a foster mom that adores him. He even recently participated in a calendar photoshoot. Blaine's skin is healed and he has had all of the masses removed, which were non cancerous! Blaine's favorite things to do is eat and play with his kids. 

Ace is a six pound senior Maltese. He has a dislocated knee that can't be repaired. He has terrible skin allergies and a grade four heart murmur. He loves his brothers, going for rides, and playing in the yard.  

Willie is a young toy breed Yorkie and weighs under three pounds. He suffered abuse as a puppy which left him with neurological deficits and a small hole in his skull. He also suffered trauma in his right eye, resulting in removal. Even though he is small, he has a big personality. He loves to be outside or on his dad's lap. He likes being around other dogs and his favorite snacks are popcorn and cookies.  

Mikey is a senior Maltese. Mikey has heart and liver disease and has some arthritis to his hips. Even with his health issues, Mikey is a happy go lucky guy. He loves to be around humans and other dogs. Sometimes he even hangs out with cats.

Zeus is a young Pit Bull type mix. He experienced a traumatic event as a puppy which left him with neurological deficits. He also has a growth plate impairment to his front leg. It is unknown whether this is congenital or due to the traumatic event. In addition to being handsome, Zeus likes to be outside and be around other dogs. He loves attention. 

Mia is a senior chihuahua that was found running the streets by authorities. At some point in her life, Mia suffered a traumatic event which left her with an eye injury and broken rear knees. Her left eye was removed due to the trauma. Unfortunately, there is no way to repair her knees. She can still get around, but walks in a squatting position. She loves to be outside, loves to sit in the lap of humans, and her favorite snack is popcorn. 

Lilly is a senior chihuahua who came to us with a corneal ulcer and an abdominal hernia. Lilly is the sweetest girl you will ever meet. She loves everyone she meets. 

Maggie is a senior chihuahua pulled from a kill list in Kansas. At some point in her life, Maggie suffered a spinal/neck injury that was left untreated. She now has a permanent head tilt. She can still run around like the crazy chi chi she is, but she tends to fall over occasionally. She also is unable to lie on her side as it impairs her breathing. She is a fun little girl that gets excited about everything.

Elliott is a young Pit Bull mix. He made his way to us from Minnesota where his family dumped him to be euthanized. This handsome hunk has myasthenia gravis and mega esophagus. He requires a Bailey Chair for feedings to avoid aspiration and tends to lose mobility in his limbs so he needs to be carried at times. Despite his condition, he is a very happy boy who loves attention. 

Pasha is a senior pit bull type breed. She has had cancer in the past and is currently in remission. She also has arthritis to her hips. Pasha loves to be around kids and spend time outside. 

Paisley is a senior Chihuahua that was saved from a kill list in Illinois. Upon arrival, she tested positive for heartworm disease and began treatment. Paisley also has zero tear production, which causes some vision impairment. Chronic bronchitis, arthritis, and hypothyroidism are her additional ailments. Despite all of her health issues, she is a sweetie that enjoys life. She loves being spoiled by her family and hanging out with her fur siblings.
