ADOPT ME

Sammy is approx.. 9-10 months old. It would be an absolute guess as to what Sammy’s breed is, but we think there may be a German Wirehaired Pointer in there somewhere. Since Sammy is getting close to a year old, we feel it is safe to say she will probably stay medium sized into her adulthood. Sammy is a such a fabulous girl! Sammy has been kennel trained since she got to her foster home and she is also housetrained-she does use a doggy door ONLY when her foster mom is home (you should never let your pets have outside access when you are not home!). Sammy adores every being she has met-people, kids and other dogs (kids should be a little older just because of her puppy energy). Sammy is very doggy companion driven and so it is a requirement that her adoptive home has a compatible dog in the household for her (she LOVES to run, wrestle and play with her current foster dog siblings). Sammy is an active, energetic girl who is looking for an active family. Sammy is great on leash and rides great in a car. Sammy loves water and has asked that her adopter be someone that can provide her with a kiddy pool in her backyard. Sammy also requires a physically fenced in yard (no electric or underground fence). Sammy knows sit and shake and generally listens very well (though she can have a bit of selective hearing if the mood hits her). Sammy is kenneled during the day (since she is a pup and we all know how pups like to chew), she is not kenneled at night and she sleeps with her foster family and does fine. As far as puppies go, Sammy is pretty great but please keep in mind that she will likely go through a transition period in a new home and some things will surely need to be relearned (schedule changes, potty times, etc.).
