ADOPT ME

Athena is a complete love bug. She is at her most content when snuggled up against someone's chest giving soft snuffles to their hair.  She loves every person, dog, and cat she meets and she is curious beyond belief.

She knows sit, stay, wait, and come.  She is well mannered and house trained. She does have scars on her face and legs from a previous dog attack but her foster mom thinks it adds to her charm and makes her look like she has freckles. 

Athena will be a tri-pawed dog when she is adopted. She is currently waiting for surgery to remove her hind leg (following permanent damage--likely from the same dog attack that gave her scars on her head and legs) which will give her a better quality of life. To quote her vet "Dogs are three-legged animals with a spare".  She can't wait until she is able to go on walks again, go swimming, and play at the dog park without worrying about getting an infection in her leg.
