How did I come to Cedar valley rescue....I was a stray in North Carolina and brought to IA by my foster family 2.How old am I? I am 2 to 3 yrs old 3. My personality? I'm a pretty laid back big guy. Very friendly, happy and just want lots of love and attention. 4.Am I potty or crate trained? Yes I am potty trained...since I've lived in IA for almost the last year I have never had to be in a kennel for any reason. 5.Do I get along with other dogs and cats? I sure do!! I lived with both in NC and now I live with a female pit, a small female mix and a small male mix. We all get along great 6. How am I with children? In NC my family had a little boy who loved me. I let him lay with me and I was always gentle. I haven't been around many other kids but think I would do great. 7. What tricks or commands do I know? I know how to sit...but besides that not much more. I am just real laid back most of the time. 8. How well do I walk on a leash? I do good when going on walks...I like to take it easy and just enjoy my walks. 9. How do I react to men,women and strangers? I love all people. I do bark when the other dogs bark when someone comes to door. I just want your attention when anyone comes to visit. 10. Do I have any behavior issues or medical concerns? I don't have any behavior issues but we did find out recently I am heartworm positive...but I am being treated for this now. My foster mom says I am doing really well and I take my meds like a good boy. I have 2 more injections next month...but things are looking good. We will keep everyone updated on how I'm feeling. 11. What are my favorite toys or games? I do like to play tug of war with Athena but she always wants to win. We all have bones we love to chew on and share with each other. I will chase after a ball but don't always bring it back. 12. Who is my best friend? I love Athena the most. But I do stick with whatever human wants to give me the most attention. 13. What is my favorite thing to do? I like to play with other dogs of any size and if I could eat all the time I would. I really like to just be petted and cuddled with. 14. What would be the perfect home for me? I am used to sharing everything with other dogs so other animals would be nice. I would like to be around kids who want to take me for walks or playing at the park. I'm not a hyper dog at all...I actually think I'm a small lap dog. I just want to be loved and get treats for being a good boy. 15. Special or unique about me? I'm just a big ole lover boy I have a little lip curl I do like Elvis. I am a great best friend and have to admit I snore quite a bit. Some communities have very specific laws and regulations for this breed.
