ADOPT ME

Willie was rescued from Ottumwa where he was slated to be put to sleep after being picked up by Animal Control.  He is a big love bug.  He does do great with all dogs, is good with cats, and likes children.  Older kids would be better as loud noises and quick movements do startle him but he would do well with calm kids he trusts as he is very gentle. He would probably do best in a home with another dog who is confident as he takes a lot of cues and gains confidence from watching his foster sister. He is currently shy with new people but warms up quickly once he knows you a re not going to hurt him. He is working on basic obedience commands but is very polite and is house broke. In less than a week he has learned his name, come, and sit and almost has lay down. He is also working on crate training though he also is doing well when roaming the house uncrated. He is an all around sweet heart who will make a wonderful loyal dog for his forever family.

He does great in the car (he recently went on a 6 hour road trip with his foster family).
